Football's Top 10 WAGs

What better way to start than a celebration of the more glamourous side of the game: the player's wives and girlfriends.
After many harrowing hours of arduous sorting, mind-numbing analysis, and animated disagreement, we've managed to narrow the large field. So without further ado, we present top ten WAGs in football. These are the pick of the ladies that have dominated the tabloids and paparazzi in recent years.
Now before you get all worked up and point out that some of these women are no longer hanging off the arm of a famous footballer, our disclaimer is that if the lady in question has been a WAG in the past, then she qualifies!
1. Sylvie van der Vaart
The actress and TV presenter takes out our gong for football's number one WAG, beating a hot field. Married to Real Madrid star Rafael, the blonde beauty often features on Dutch highlight reels and is a distraction for fans and opponents alike.
2. Pamela Diaz
The Chilean model and sometime TV personality had a bit part in Brian de Palma?s Mission to Mars and is married to Chile's former Colo Colo and Racing Club forward Manuel Alejandro Neira Diaz.
3. Alena Seredova
Married to Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, Seredova was the 1998 Miss Czech Republic and represented the country at Miss World. She was recently voted no.2 in a 50 hottest WAGs rating and co-owns fashion label Baci & Abbracci with former Azzurri star and now Atalanta forward Christian Vieri and Lazio's Cristian Brocchi.
4. Raica Oliveira
While her former flame Ronaldo (the pudgy, toothy three-time FIFA Player of the Year one) is losing his battle to stave off a rapidly expanding waistline, supermodel Raica maintains a svelte shape and sambas into fourth on our list.
5. Victoria Beckham
The quintessential WAG. When Posh isn't sashaying down fashion runways or gallivanting around Hollywood with her boys, she's mothering other, newer WAGs. A veteran football-attendee with husband David - they are one of the most recognisable couples in the world.
6. Gemma Atkinson
This top-heavy English glamour model counts Cristiano Ronaldo among her ex-boyfriends. Propelled by her not-so-natural assets, Atkinson has graced the cover of just about every UK lads magazine and is currently dating serial model-attractor Marcus Bent.
7. Cheryl Cole
Married to Chelsea's England international defender Ashley Cole, she first found fame as Cheryl Tweedy in British candy band Girls Aloud. Cheryl has since gone on to bigger and better things like being a judge on reality TV show X-Factor and being charged for assault in 2003.
8. Martina Colombari
Colombari - the 1991 'Miss Italy' - is married to legendary AC Milan and Italy defender Alessandro Costacurta. Fittingly, she starred in the 1998 'blockbuster' Paparazzi.
9. Adriana Karembeu
Formerly Adriana Sklenarikova, this former Wonderbra model took the heart and name of France star Christian Karembeu when she married him in 1998 - capping a fairly good year for the dread-locked Les Bleus ace. She also has a degree in medicine. Smart and sexy.
10. Noemie Lenoir
You may recognise this French stunner from such films as Rush Hour 3 and After The Sunset. Failing that, you might have seen her hanging off the arm of tough-tackling husband and PSG general Claude Makelele.
