Ok so let me give you a bit of a background about this song. I have been hearing it for months on an Assyrian music radio that I listen to on an iPhone app (MyOomta radio on TuneIn Radio app). It is a great song and fell in love with the performance, music and most importantly the lyrics. It is about the fall of Mosul to ISIS and all the destruction the terrorist organization has done to the city and the country in general. As part of the song, there is an Iraqi performer who sings in Arabic throughout the song.
Problem was, I had no idea who sang this song. So I couldn't search for it on Youtube or to be able to buy it on a CD. Until yesterday, when I realized it is by Edmon Lazar, an Assyrian singer in Australia. But I wish I never seen the clip on Youtube, as it is a bit too graphic and some of the commentary on Youtube mention the same thing. But I guess they are trying to make a point with the graphics to match the song's contents (ISIS destruction)
Listen to the song and tell me what you think of it, notwithstanding the video content.
