One of the best Assyrian songs you will hear but one of the worst to watch

Ok so let me give you a bit of a background about this song. I have been hearing it for months on an Assyrian music radio that I listen to on an iPhone app (MyOomta radio on TuneIn Radio app). It is a great song and fell in love with the performance, music and most importantly the lyrics. It is about the fall of Mosul to ISIS and all the destruction the terrorist organization has done to the city and the country in general. As part of the song, there is an Iraqi performer who sings in Arabic throughout the song.

Problem was, I had no idea who sang this song. So I couldn't search for it on Youtube or to be able to buy it on a CD. Until yesterday, when I realized it is by Edmon Lazar, an Assyrian singer in Australia. But I wish I never seen the clip on Youtube, as it is a bit too graphic and some of the commentary on Youtube mention the same thing. But I guess they are trying to make a point with the graphics to match the song's contents (ISIS destruction)

Listen to the song and tell me what you think of it, notwithstanding the video content.

I cried and I'm not even from there..I wonder how the people from there feel. :(

Care to translate the Assyrian part, please?

Sure, though it will never convey the true meaning as when heard in the original Assyrian language.

Why only my country is suffering. Everyday they are being slaughtered, young and old.
It is full of terrorists, in all cities, killing and setting off explosions, and demolishing houses.

Until when will this injustice keep going in my country, with its soil full of blood from the innocent. Humans don't have a life there, coming face to face with death everyday.

Repeat...... (Why only my country is suffering. Everyday they are being slaughtered, young and old.
It is full of terrorists, from all cities, killing and setting off explosions, and demolishing houses. )

They have taken over Mosul (referring to ISIS) , and with that, they have caused a wound to my heart and every part of body. In the name of religion, they are killing people, they are the sons of the devil, they are not humans. For you God in heaven, we lift our prayers, to save our country from this injustice, so we may all end up living in peace, and for this suffering to come to an end.

Repeat...... (Why only my country is suffering. Everyday they are being slaughtered, young and old. It is full of terrorists, from all cities, killing and setting off explosions, and demolishing houses. )

This is an extremely depressing and daunting video. I couldn't go pass the first minute that showed the women agonizingly mourning and lamenting over their dead (probably a brother, a sister, a parent). It hits so close to home.
