Coming Together in Skokie (CTIS) will honor the Assyrian culture this year. The official kick-off of the six-week series of programs is Sunday, January 29 at Niles West High School, 5701 W. Oakton St. Members of the Assyrian community are proud to present cultural and art exhibits that open at 2:30 p.m., followed at 3:15 by a cultural program that includes a celebration of Assyrian culture, a brief historical summary, Assyrian wedding practices, dancing, and the personal journeys of Assyrian students.
