I was on some Canadian discussion forum yesterday and someone had posted a question about Toronto's haunted places. As I was going through the discussion, I noticed someone posted about something called 'ghost of Kirby road' . That got me curious because Kirby road is a rural street just north of us, here in Woodbridge. About 5-10 minute drive. When I clicked to read more, I was shocked to find out it was indeed the same Kirby road that I have driven on so many times. The story is that a girl had been killed there in a car accident in 1993 (SELINA DEGASPERIS) and it is her ghost. But after I read more about it, I found out some conflicting accounts saying that the ghost is of another girl that was killed by her father, an Ontario member of the KKK, who was enraged for his daughter dating a black man.
Wow I couldn't believe this whole thing was on Kirby road and I never even heard of it!
My great aunt and her family lived on a house just off Kirby (Stephanie Rd.?) for close to 8 years and we would go there often, usually at night. But we, nor they ever heard about this or felt anything.
But here is the interesting part. In 2007 or so, my cousins (2 girls and 1 guy, all in their early 20s) were driving alongside Kirby road and their car rolled over. Thankfully, they all survived but some were injured seriously. When we asked about why they were driving in that part of the road that late at night, guess what their answer was? They had heard about a ghost in the area and were curious to see what it was all about!!!!
I didn't make anything of it at the time.
Now that I am reading this, I think this is the same ghost they were after!!!! And the spot where their car rolled over wasn't too fat from where this tombstone is (based on the map I saw)
Watch the video here. It is done by an Ontario paranormal group and they think the whole thing is fake and no ghosts were found. But on other discussion forums, they swear by this and say they have been there and experienced it themselves:

Personally, I am not big on these ghost encounters and chasing but since this area is so close, and in hindsight, it does feel a bit strange and creepy (middle of nowhere and farms), I would like to go by again. My great aunt moved from there over a year ago, so I haven't passed by in some time.
